"A
Loving Church, Building Upon A Solid Rock"
Phil. 1:8-11; Matt. 16:18
A
LOVING CHURCH of WORSHIP
John
4:24. God is a spirit: And they that worship Him must worship
Him in spirit and in truth.
To
worship God in the spirit and in truth on each Lord's Day,
as well as mid-week services and at various other times
as we are led by the Holy Spirit.
A
LOVING CHURCH of OUTREACH
Mark
16:15,16. And He said unto them, go ye into all the world,
and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth
and is baptized shall be saved; But he that believeth not
shall be damned.
To
be diligent in our efforts to lead people to receive Christ
through groups and individual witnessing. Our boundaries
shall be the four corners of the earth.
A
LOVING CHURCH of DISCIPLESHIP
2Timothy
2:15. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word
of truth.
To
strive to be worthy disciples of Christ and help to strengthen
all members of the congregation as we teach and study God's
word and be diligent in training Christians to perform the
tasks that are involved in kingdom building.
A
LOVING CHURCH of FELLOWSHIP
1John
1:3. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you,
that ye also may have fellowship with us; And truly our
fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus.
Other scripture references: Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:25.
To
engage in fellowship with one another and other believers
in the spirit of Christ. Encouraging one another and praising
God together.
A
LOVING CHURCH of ADMINISTRATION
1Corinthians
14:40. Let all things be done decently and in order.
To
administer all church business decently and in order.
A
LOVING CHURCH of COMMUNITY INTERACTION
1Corinthians
13:1-8. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
and have not charity, I am become as a sounding brass, or
a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy,
and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; And though
I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and
have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all
my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to
be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; Charity envieth not;
Charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not
behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily
provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but
rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all
things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity
never faileth: But whether there be prophecies, they shall
fail; Whether there be tongues, they shall cease; Whether
there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
To
be mindful of the needs of the community and strive to help
alleviate some of those needs as we lift up Christ.
A
LOVING CHURCH of STEWARDSHIP
1Peter
4:10. As everyman hath received the gift, even so minister
the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold
grace of God.
Other references: Luke 12:42,43, 1Corinthians 4:1,2.
To
be good stewards of all the blessings that God has given
us.
Each
auxiliary, board, and committee of this church embodies
these goals through the uniqueness of their respective functions.
